Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 Program

Have you been lifting weights for a while now and at a plateau? Can’t seem to lift any heavier?
Then maybe it’s time to give your current workout a cold, hard look. Jim Wendler, a previous competitive powerlifter with incredible achievements of a 1,000 pound squat, 675 pound bench press, 700 pound deadlift and a 2,375 pound total in the 275 pound weight class has this to say about the 5/3/1 program he created: “I want be able to do a bunch of different activities and still kick ass in the weight room. I want to be as mobile, flexible, strong, and in as good a condition as I possibly can. That’s how I came up with 5/3/1.”

Over the coming weeks, the ExploreHope team aims to bring you quality content and resources in helping you achieve true freedom in your life. How exactly will we do this, and what do we mean by true freedom?
ExploreHope is not an avenue for sharing get rich quick schemes or an advocate for a “money for nothing” philosophy. We’ve assembled a team of contributors from all walks of life, such as successful entrepreneurs, health science researchers, engineers, accountants and financial professionals to give you the keys to unlock your future.
Our content will range from health articles to investing strategies (e.g. equity/debt instruments, trading, derivatives and so on) and even business strategies and entrepreneurial opportunities. In the modern age, successful people no longer build their incomes through careers. Instead, smart individuals build multiple income streams (e.g. investments, rent on property, businesses, on-line advertising revenue) that diversifies away their risk of losing everything if they are unfortunately retrenched from their job. Our definition of true freedom is being released from the shackles of a job (trading your time for money; slaving your life away while helping your boss get richer) and building multiple income streams that will free up your time to do the things you love. Are you going to work for us and help us get richer? Or are you going to work for yourself and live the life you truly want? Open your mind to the possibility that you too, can be successful (and free to enjoy your success!).
The world is changing rapidly – jobs are no longer the “iron rice bowl” they once were. Competitiveness among job seekers are rapidly increasing; degrees and diplomas are now too common and no longer guarantee you a career. What will you do?
